This and That

Dan brought the kayaks down out of the shed, we have permission to park them on the neighbors property until we get a beach.  I think that it will be a while before that happens.

I really wanted to get out on the pond in mine yesterday but it was too windy.  Again.

In the studio, it was too windy out… now it is just too cold. 

I sure hope it warms up before too long or at least is calm during the day so I can get back to burning up the mess everywhere. I keep cleaning it up, no end in sight.

I am almost caught up with the quilting on Dan's quilts.  He finished piecing 2024-10 earlier this week and I have 2024-9 on Lena Longarm, almost finished with the quilting.

Monday evening in the studio. A nice sunset even without any fiery color. 

I talked last time about the mess and the trees everywhere. Whenever it has not been raining I have been out there reducing the size of the debris so I could burn it and get rid of it. No small feat as there is so much everywhere. I have made great strides in the clean up effort but am not holding my breath that it will be done anytime soon. 

This and That

We were suppose to go to Readfield last Sunday to go to lunch with Vanessa, Lucas and the kids as it was Vanessa's birthday.  We were still without power so Dan didn't want to leave with the generator running.  I ended up going over by myself as I had a couple of things for Vanessa.  We decided we would meet up sometime next week for lunch as it is Dan's birthday next Wednesday and the kids are on school vacation.

I got home mid-afternoon to POWER! And quiet! I'm very thankful we have the generator but it is so noisy!

I could have been by the fire. I almost feel guilty that I’m not. The wind is calm and Carol said it is in the 50’s, however, I took out the trash and recovered the gas grill and got chilled just doing that. I think I’ll wait a bit until it warms up or I toughen up. Still feeling guilty. Pretty view from the studio tonight anyway.

Monday evening. A beautiful day today, a little chilly with the breeze but not too bad. Beautiful evening also, I took this pic a little after sunset. 

Grocery shopping this morning, nothing much exciting there.
