Santa and Mrs Claus

My sewing bud, Annie, was back again over the weekend.  She is continuing to sew 6" squares together practicing her 1/4" seam allowance.

As I was sitting next to her making sure all was good we had this conversation ~

Annie ~ When you had your shop did Santa buy one of your quilts?

Me ~ I don't remember that Santa came in the shop.

She's quiet for a bit then says ~

Annie ~ I think he did

Me ~ He did?

Well, I finally got my old brain working and figured out what she was talking about.

Me ~ Did you watch a Christmas movie with Santa and Mrs Claus?

Annie ~ Yes.

Me ~  Was Santa played by Kurt Russell and Mrs Claus by Goldie Hawn?

Annie ~ YES! He's a good actor.

Me ~ Well then I guess Santa DID buy a quilt from us.

So cute!  And yes, Kurt and Goldie own three of our quilts but that's another story.

My Friday Stitch n' Gab Friday morning group at Oxford Mill End Store had a Christmas party last week.  Potluck brunch and a gift swap.  Food was delicious!  

The gift I received was this gorgeous in full bloom Christmas cactus. I love it!

I guess the ice is safe as of right now.  We came home from our walk yesterday and saw this guy ice fishing.  No way would I go out there.  I kept an eye on him and he didn't fall through.

Lena and I quilted up quilt #22 yesterday.  

I think Dan is working on #35 so I am only 13 behind. (eye roll)  If I can keep Lena stitching like she's suppose to I might be able to get caught up by February.  We'll see or as he says time will tell.
