To continue the recap of the Maine Quilts exhibit,
Rona 7 of the exhibit was a popular one
A couple of different blocks were created and alternated then were set off well with the intricate border. This quilt was a favorite of many at the show.
Rona 8 is an orphan block quilt. I used a framed block to use up some left over or orphan blocks.
Orphan blocks were again used in Rona 9
The framed orphan blocks were alternated with a simple nine patch to get this stunning quilt.
Some amazing weather has been experienced of late. The heat and humidity has been difficult to bear. Walks were taken either in the early morning or late afternoon (or both) in an effort to survive the heat. I’ve managed but dang it was hot walking. The forecast is for cooler and more wet weather. We need the rain, but hate to see rainy days.
The cat I talked about last time was gone the next morning, much like a dream it slipped away in the night never to be seen again.
Carol and Erin got in some kayak time while she was here.
