What I've Been Doing

Carol here ~

I forgot to show you my new quilt-y socks I received for Christmas from daughter Vanessa.

Lemoyne Stars, one of my favorite quilt blocks.  She got them at The Sock Shack in Portland.  I love them!

I have mentioned before that I attend Friday morning stitching at Oxford Mill End Store.  Our annual Christmas party had to be cancelled twice before we finally were able to enjoy everyone's company with a gift exchange and delicious pot luck brunch this past Friday.

Now that I have gifted what I have been puttering on I can show you all.  I made little zipper bags for the Friday stitchers.  I loaded several fabric combinations on Lena Longarm and programed different quilting patterns on each combination.  I then cut the fabric into the size bags I wanted and put them together.  I have lots of zippers left from when we had the quilt shop plus plenty of fabric and all kinds of batting scraps.

I got the idea from Adria Good Longarm Quilting. She is a longarm instructor and uses her quilted samples to make the bags. I used my own method for construction.

As I was quilting up a chunk of fabric I thought it would be interesting to make a table runner with it...

I finished up the quilting on 2025-24 and loaded 25 on Lena Longarm yesterday.  Got a good start on it using the digitized pattern SKIPPER from the Quilting Mill.

I also finished the binding on 2025-14.

2025-14

Not much else has been going on around here....

Have a great week, stay safe.
