Visitors!

Carol here ~

We had visitors on Wednesday! Friends Jano from Eustis and Laurel from Carrabassett Valley stopped by as they were out and about participating in the State of Maine Quilt Shop Hop. We had a lovely lunch at the picnic table by the pond as we caught up on each other’s lives. It sounds like Jano is giving Dan some competition in the number of quilts finished during the past year.

The best part was ~ HUGS! It’s been so long since we have been able hug someone we care about. Plans were made for a summer visit from them and a couple of other friends from Rangeley ~ hopefully a hot summer day we can spend on the pond.

I am participating in a Virtual Quilt Retreat this weekend hosted by Michelle Hiatt and Lynn Wheatley. Don’t know how much actual quilting I will be able to do because of my back but I am giving it a try. Dan cut out my project for me, I am making LIBERTY COURT, wall hanging size.

And about my back…..finally got the results of the X-rays. I have compression fractures of the spine. Next up is a MRI and then on to a back specialist. (sigh) This was definitely not in my plans. The pain has lessened somewhat and I have been able to make a few laps around the driveway. I am really missing my daily walks.

A special thank you to Dan for putting up with me. I’m sure at times he is ready to put an anchor on me and throw me out in the pond. LOL. He says I’m really good a being “bossy”. Seriously, he is taking very good care of me.

Have a good weekend!

  1. I hope you are feeling better soon! So glad you got to see Jano and Laurel! They look good🥰. Have fun with Liberty Court! That was my pick too, but having to empty the office, paint it and make it into a bedroom for my Mother in law who broke her hip in March and arrives next week. Family takes precedence over quilting 🤪🥰
