Summer Fun

Grandson Evan came down last Friday for the night.  He serenaded us as we enjoyed an evening sitting out front on the patio.

Daughter Erin arrived Saturday morning. Erin and I got out on the pond in the kayaks, Evan on the paddleboard.

Evan headed home Saturday afternoon, Erin stayed Saturday night and headed home in the pouring rain on Sunday.

Yesterday, niece Kelsi arrived with her two munchkins, Annie and Alex.  Perfect day to be at Green Pond, the kids were in the water all day.

There was some frog catching while they were waiting for their sunscreen to soak in.

I was sitting on the patio working on a binding until it got too hot to be sitting under a quilt!

Lots of float time..

Annie mastered jumping off the float by herself with neighbor Bryce's encouragement.

I bet they slept well last night!

We had quite a bit of eagle activity yesterday.  Around lunch time two eagles were fighting, I guess.  One was sitting in a tree, the other was dive bombing him and being very vocal.  

Later in the day, Bryce was out in the kayak fishing, caught a fish and one of the eagles was trying to get the fish off Bryce's fishing line which freaked Bryce out a bit.  Neighbor Rob cut the line and threw the fish out in the water, the eagle swooped down and grabbed it.   

Guess he was really hungry!
