A Spring Tease

Carol here ~

Yesterday definitely gave us a tease of spring. It was 56 degrees when we headed out for our walk after lunch. Water running everywhere! The top layer of the pond was liquid.

The driveway and the road had softened up so it was pretty easy walking, although puddles starting to form as there is no where for the water to run.

This is the top of our driveway. When this puddle overflows it starts running down the hill in our driveway and ends up in the yard and the sister’s garage.

Dan tried to make a few holes in the snowbanks in the driveway hoping to divert some of the run off so there will be less water making it all the way down the hill.

Of course, we are supposed to go back in the deep freeze so will be slip sliding away again. I am so ready for spring!

It’s been about two years since we moved back into our little home here after construction. (you can read about that here)  We thought we did a pretty good job of making every little space functional and usable. We had drawers and cubbies built in under the knee walls,

the murphy beds are also design walls

BUT why did we leave the space above the design walls/beds open? We have been eyeballing that space lately thinking if we had cubbies up there it could store a whole lot of quilts/batting.  I think a call to our carpenter is in order as we need a place to store all these quilts Dan keeps making!

Have a good weekend everyone!
