Quilt Show

Carol here ~

We spent a couple of days last week at AQS New England in Hartford, CT viewing the 700 quilts.  Contestants came from 44 states and 13 countries.

The quilts were amazing.  Head on over to the AQS Facebook page to view many of them.

I only took a handful of photos ~ I liked the vibrant colors of this one...

The butterflies drew me in on this one...

This next one is for my grand Kailey, the artist who is always drawing birds.

And here is fellow Mainer Margaret Solomon Gunn's ~ always a show stopper.

This next one was one of my favorites.  We didn't see it until the second day, by then I was about people-d out and was ready to come home to "solitude".

It was good to get away for a couple of days but also good to be back home again.

Dan gave the beach the first raking for 2026.

And my batting arrived so I loaded quilt #1 for 2026 on Lena Longarm and got started on it yesterday.

2026-1

Did you see the sunrise this morning?  So pretty.  Enjoy the warm temps today....
