Spring?

Happy last day of March!  Yesterday was beautiful but I think that's all we're getting for warm temps for a while.  Sheesh, it seems like it's taking forever to get consistent spring temps.

The birds were enjoying yesterday's warmer temps as I was surrounded by birdsong when I went for my walk on the ridge.  I stopped to listen to them and could see them flitting about in the trees.

I also saw turtles basking in the sun on a log on Mud Pond.  I guess they've had enough of winter and don't care that most of the pond is still iced in.  As long as there is some open water with a log in the sunshine they are taking advantage of it.  Can you see them?

and the snow is melting along the beach.

We have been continuing with the quilt organizing etc.  We had to put it on hold for a while as we were waiting for another shipment of the containers we store them in.  The Post Office had them for almost a week but didn't feel like delivering I guess.  We finally went out and picked them up ourselves.  (annoying)

I'm still waiting on my batting order.  I have made and attached five bindings to quilts so those are ready for hand stitching.  Plus I have completely finished two more.

I should be spring cleaning but haven't had the energy for that yet.
