The Horseshoe Tourney

Carol here ~

Sunday was the 37th Annual Green Pond Horseshoe Tournament started by my mom, Avis Coolidge, a champion horseshoe pitcher. Sister Terri has kept the yearly event going since our mom passed in 2018. (minus a couple of c***d years)

It was a beautiful day for friends, relatives and neighbors to enjoy.

I'm just going to do a photo dump of the day.

The Winners ~ Cousin Clint & niece Kelsi's hubby Luke

Winners Clint & Luke with runner ups neighbors Jeff & Michael

The pitching had just about finished when we had a downpour with high wind.  Luckily it didn't last too long and we were able to indulge in a yummy potluck supper.

I knew those tables we saved from our Quilt Camps would come in handy!

We also donated a quilt to be raffled.  The winner was Denise, niece Kelsi's mother-in-law.
She was so excited!

We just about got everything taken care of after eating and we got another rain storm.

The evening ended with a gorgeous rainbow over Mud Pond.

And a beautiful sunset over Green Pond.

A great end to a great day!
