Another Bag Request

It seems like grand Evan has confiscated his mother's Chubby Charmer bag that I made her (many years ago) as I got a request from Erin for another.  I think I've actually made her several in the past including this well loved one that is still being used.

Here is the pattern, it is designed by Penny Sturges and I think it's still available.

I decided I was not going to use the five inch squares as the pattern was written, using yardage instead.  Erin picked out two fabrics, one for the outer bag and one for the lining.  Yikes, don't think she's going to have trouble finding it as the fabrics are bright!

I loaded the outer fabric on Lena Longarm using Soft and Stable for the stabilizer instead of the Fusible Fleece the pattern called for.  I like the stiffness of the Soft and Stable plus it "stands up" better.

I got it quilted and started putting everything together.  Here is the backside of the outer bag, you can see the digitized design CHANTILLY I quilted on it.

Ta-da, here it is completed.

I also lengthened the straps as we thought the length the pattern called for was too short.

I also finished up the binding on 2025-4.

I only have one more quilted and ready to bind, then I guess Lena and I gotta get busy.  We only have twenty to quilt to catch up to Dan. 🙄
