Quilts and Turtles

Carol here ~

What the heck is with all the rainy weekends?  I think it's been like six in a row.  So far I have managed to get my walks in, mostly between showers.  I haven't missed a day since March 31st.

Yay me!

I got the binding complete on Kailey's graduation quilt. I worked on it over the weekend as Lena was stitching on 2025-1.

I used the digitized pattern BUTTERFLY BLOSSOMS as I thought is went well with the spring-y/summer-y colors of the quilt.

2025-1

Yesterday I made the binding for Parker's quilt and got it ready for the hand work, should finish that up this week.

Dan and I got a kayak ride in yesterday.  Just barely a breeze headed down the pond when we left, by the time we got to the other end the wind had picked up and switched direction.  Happens every time!  Oh well, I got a good arm workout in.

We saw LOTS of turtles, at least thirty of them.

I usually wear my rain boots to get in and out of the kayak this time of year, at least until the water warms up.  I figured it had to have warmed up some so just went barefoot.

Nope, my feet were not happy.  Guess I'm going to keep using the boots.

Looks like today is another rainy sew day, stay dry!
