Ugh, Still Cleaning

I'm still cleaning so no quilts to show this time.  Whose idea was it to spring clean anyway?  It's exhausting.  I've got the bathroom done, the drawers and bottom cupboards in the kitchen done and most of the top cupboards before I ran out of steam yesterday.  Then I had a nap.

Sunday we went to Readfield to The Gallery to check out Kailey's artwork she had displayed there.  She is so talented.

Then we all went out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse.  Had a good meal and a great visit.

Well, winter is back.  I didn't expect it to be over but....

Here is what the pond looked like Sunday, had some open water and the wind was blowing the ice around in good shape.

Yesterday it was back to this..

Is this the last storm for this season?  I sure hope so.  

I guess the turtles were fed up with winter and decided it was spring the other day.  I saw three sunning themselves on a log on Mud Pond.  There is still plenty of ice but around the shore on this end was mostly water.

I also saw these Mayflower leaves poking out of the leaves, will have to remember where I saw them so I can check them out in May.

I have been getting longer walks in as the snow had melted from up on the ridge so I was able to walk around the pond instead of out to the end of the road and back.  Not too much more in mileage but better than back the same way I went out.

I'm sure this snow won't last long and all will be melted again.

The birds were pigging out all day yesterday.

Back to cleaning, hope to finish up the kitchen today.  Have my oncology appointment tomorrow so won't be getting anything else done for now.
