This and That

I lied.  Last week I told you I had all the 2024 quilts completely finished.  As I was rummaging around in the cubbies looking for the five 2025 quilts I had quilted so I could attach the binding to them I found 2024-30 and it was not bound.  Oopsie.  It's done now!

And I got the bindings made and attached to the five 2025's, they are ready for the hand work.

I was so sad and mad yesterday.  Late morning I realized one of my diamond stud earrings was not in my ear.  Dan gave me the earrings years ago and I pretty much wear them all the time.  We started looking ~ under the bed, behind the bed, in the bed, the floors etc.  Nope, no luck.  I figured it had probably gone down the drain during my shower.

Last night after supper I went into the bathroom, the rug in front of the sink was twisted so I moved it out a bit so I could straighten it and guess what?!?  My earring was pushed against the edge of the vanity, the rug had been covering it up.  What are the chances?  Guess it was my lucky day.

Looks like our friendly tree frog was back again the other night.  Dan saw him on one of the front windows so went outside to get his picture.

Not only did he get the frog but also the quilts hanging in the stairway.  By the way, the quilts are called Calm Seas, designed by Michelle Renee Hiatt, pieced by Dan, quilted by me.

I caught a glimpse of something red on the side of the road during my walk the other day ~ wild strawberries!  My mother would have been right out there picking them!

Yesterday morning on my walk a deer came out of the woods right in front of me.  I stopped, he stopped and we just stared at each other until a car came along, then he ran into the woods.  Never know what you're going to see.

Dan's flowers in the back planter are looking good. I really like the colors of the dahlias.

It's suppose to be a bit cooler today, have a terrific Tuesday!
