Birthday's and Quilt Retreat

Carol here ~

We headed to Readfield on Saturday to celebrate Kailey and Lucas' birthdays.  Kailey's 18th  was the week before but with all the graduation hoopla it was decided to wait and celebrate with her dad's, which was Saturday.

We ate cake and had a nice visit then headed to Rangeley. Again.

It was Michelle Hiatt's Quilt Retreat Weekend at the Rangeley Inn and we wanted to stop in. Many of the quilters are from our days of hosting so it's always nice to see them again.  I didn't take any pictures but here are a couple of Michelle's.

We were there when they did the group photo so Dan took this picture for Michelle.

Michelle says the highlight of the weekend was the reveal of "An Evening at Quill Hill Mystery Quilt".

I love the name and I love the quilt! Here is a pic of one ready to stitch together.

It was another day of lots of driving but we are planning on staying put for a while now.

Yesterday I washed the railings and steps at he back door then decided I might as well keep going so I did the side door and the steps down to the beach too.  Dan helped a bit.  They were all really dirty and pollen-y.  They look shine-y clean right now but we'll see how long before they need it again.

I've already washed all the outside furniture once but it needs it again so might try to get to that today.  I haven't been able to do any patio binding because of all the pollen.

I haven't done much quilting at all lately, maybe now that things have settled down and we are not on the road so much I can get motivated again.  We'll see..

Have a good rest of the week!
