Carol here ~
Good Morning and Happy April!
The ice is just about gone. What is left was blown down to our end yesterday as the wind blew all day.
I'm always surprised the first couple of mornings when I open the shades after ice out to see water.
Not too much has been going on this past week. I'm still cleaning although I had a couple of blah days after my chemo last week which slowed me up a bit.
I did manage to get the binding on 2024-27.

It was my turn to bring snack to the Friday Stitching group last week. I made a recipe called
CHEWY SNICKERDOODLE COOKIE BARS from Bitty Recipes on Facebook.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a thick dough forms.
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar for the topping, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
Bake for 22-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool before slicing into bars.
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 25 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes
Kcal: 240 kcal | Servings: 12 bars
Tips:
For extra chewiness, slightly underbake the bars and let them cool completely before cutting.
Store in an airtight container to keep them soft and fresh for days!
They must of been good as I came home with an empty container!
Enjoy the rest of the week. Hopefully, we will get through this crazy weather soon. I'm itching for some outside stitching!
