Fall

Carol here ~

I had the the itch to stitch with fall fabrics.  Made a handful of potholders/hotmats, figured we had room for those!  Gifted a couple so still have three left for us.

Made my first batch of applesauce for this season last week.  Gave great-niece Annie a container full, Parker took a container home with him, Evan took a container full back to college with him, which left us just enough to enjoy with our pork supper the the other night.  Here is the post on how I make my applesauce.

Speaking of apples ~ Vanessa and Lucas bought a Macoun Apple Tree.  No. That's not right.  Vanessa and Lucas bought a tree of Macoun apples from their local orchard. (it's all in the wording)  Approximately 200 lbs of pick your own apples.  They are not ready to pick yet but they will be notified when they are, sometime next month.  Hoping we get to help!  Vanessa already shopping for additional containers so she can freeze applesauce.

Dan got the paddle boards and the blue kayak put away for the winter.  We leave our two kayaks out until the water gets too cold on the feet to get into they kayak, usually middle to late October.

Parker is on the soccer team again this year in Rangeley.  I think they have an away game somewhere down this-a-way this week.  Have to find the soccer schedule.  If so, we will probably go if the weather is decent.

Other than that, no appointments or plans for this week.  Dan will probably continue puttering on fall projects.  Suppose to be another nice day today, so kayak rides a definite!

Enjoy!
