Sunshine!

Carol here ~

Finally we have sunshine and warmth!

Sister Terri had grands Annie and Alex and neighbor Jeff had a gang in on Sunday.  The kids had a ball playing on the beach and swimming.  Too cold for me but they didn't seem to mind.

Dan and I have gotten a couple kayak rides in.  The black flies are relentless ~ pesky wee buggars.

I got my walk in before lunch yesterday as I knew it was going to be too warm later in the day.  All the trees and growth on the side of the road are so green ~ wicked pretty.  And the birds were serenading me on my way.

Dan planted all his SunPatiens and was ready for more plants so I rode up to Young's Greenhouse in South Paris with him.  (i really just went for the ice cream cone)

He picked some out and planted them as soon as we got home.  He still needs a few more.

Neighbor Jeff and great nephew Ben have been adding an addition to the backside of Jeff's camp.  It's coming right along.

I finished up the binding on 2024-32. The quilting pattern is called SKIPPER.

2024-32

I also quilted 2025-2 & 3, they are now waiting for binding.

Grand Evan is working at the Maine Veteran's Home is South Paris this summer so he is staying with us on the days he works then going home to Rangeley the rest of the time.  Here is his little corner in the quilting loft where he sleeps.

I love that FAO the bear still travels with him.  Erin bought him that bear for him when my sister Terri, her girls Kelsi and Joelle and Vanessa, Erin and I had a girl's weekend in NYC to see the broadway show WICKED.

Did you see the sunset last night?  It was spectacular!

Enjoy these last few days of May!
